Arc Welding
This is where we really shine. Progressive Systems has degreed weld
engineers on staff that work with our robot technicians on your
project. Our engineers ensure that the
weld process that Progressive delivers is based on sound
science and industry best practices. The result is a stable, reliable
and maintainable process for your plant.

MIG Welding
Steel / Stainless Steel
Robotic MIG welding of steel is the most common application and
Progressive Systems does it well. Whether your process involves
welding thin sheet or tube or doing heavy deposition on plate, we
have a solution.
We will keep it simple for you when simple works.
We will show you the advantages of AC and pulse welding for
your more demanding applications.
Aluminum
Success requires good equipment selection and
careful process development. Our engineers work every day with the
latest equipment so that they know which power source, feeder and
torch combinations are the highest performing for this difficult
application.
Other Metals
Joining dissimilar materials can make others throw up their hands in frustration.
Not us. We have the know-how to engineer robotic welding systems for a production environment using special metals.
Touch Sensing
Do your parts vary? Our first choice is always to create a weld
tool that will hold the parts repeatably. When this just isn't possible,
let us add touch sensing to your system. The robot uses the welding
wire and electrical feedback to "touch" the part and store its location.
The weld path is automatically shifted to the joint location.
Seam Tracking
Does your joint wander? Some of our customers have parts that are
bowed. Instead of the straight-line joint that the part should have,
the joint is curved. Adding seam tracking to your system gives the
robot the ability to follow the joint as it wanders.

TIG & Plasma
Precision joining of thin materials may require TIG or Plasma to
produce good weld penetration with excellent joint aesthetics.
We'll help you develop process parameters that result in no weld bead voids with minimal
to no post-weld finishing needed.
